Air suspension woes

I apologise if this has been asked before but I couldn't find any posts

2012 RR Sport diesel

The suspension is dropping if the vehicle is left for a couple of days.

Put at the highest setting, measured the height all around and disconnected the battery

2 days later the vehicle has dropped equally all the way around.

Taken to a garage who said it could be very expensive to diagnose and fix so just replace the airbags and valve blocks and that should solve it.

It may solve it but it seems a little expensive overkill for something which could be as simple as the valve blocks.

I've found lots about individual corners dropping but nothing about all 4 corners dropping equally. Is there some sort of module or controller for the air suspension system or could it be the valve blocks just letting out enough pressure until it can hold it.

Any advice/tests or guidance would be appreciated.

Could well be a leaking airbag, the ECU will try to keep the car level, at least it does on the P38, so all corners go down.

Disconnected battery and all four corners going down, doesn’t sound like bags to me.

Believe 2 valve blocks for front and back for all four valve to be leaking the same seems strange.

Desiccant broken down and spread amongst the system sticking valves?

If it’s the bags then soapy water and a spray will show, that’s cheap too.

Stupid me the battery disconnect didn't register

A spray bottle of soapy water is your best friend at the moment, lift RR up to highest level fit jack stands under each corner...now start spraying the soapy water at the main valve block. If that doesn't show any leaking pull that block out and apart clean re-new the seals and fit back together this should fix your problem.

You need to monitor the live pressure data on the vehicle, looking for pressure dropping in parts of the system.
My guess is the main air reservoir, which is known to pinhole.
However it could easily be the valves in the vale blocks not seating. These can all be stripped, cleaned and checked for issues.

As for expensive, it's a Range Rover, not a Fiesta, so yes garages charge lots to fix them. A £60,000 car when new still has the repair costs of a £60,000, even when it's 10 years old.
