Hi All, I have a 2012 Range Rover Autobiography L322 and I have had a split in one of the air suspension bags. I tried replacing just the bags (aftermarket) but they didn't seal to the strut properly and when turning they let all the air out. I then found a set that came complete with the strut which after fitting I seem to be having the same issue. Has anyone replaced their air suspension bags and can recommend a set? Or does anyone have any advice? Thanks in advance

Your missing something, pretty much everyone has replaced bags at some point. Are you sure it’s the bags are letting air out?

I would think they would be covered by some sort of warranty if you’ve just bought them

I thought that would be the case hence asking for recommendations. Yes the air is coming from the air bag saddle where it fits to the strut.

I have warranty on the parts however this is the second set from this particular supplier and they have said just to request a refund . Unless I try a third set but I have kind of lost confidence in them now.

I fitted Dunlop ones to my dads 2007 L332 must be 3 years ago now. Its covered 35k since and been fine.

I did remove the compressor fuse, then disconnected the battery.

Replaced with Dunlop ones with the bags built in. Think it was like 4 or 5 bolts to remove. Had both sides done in under an hour.

Why garages charge SO much for them is beyond me.

Arnott are the make I would have if money were no object.
Dunlop’s from island are your general decent ones.

I don't like that new airline connector they use. If it fails on a trip you're going to be struggling to change them in the field. The gen 3 definitely give a better ride. I am a tad worried about the aluminium reacting with the steel on the seat though. Having a little think on that. I put grease in but I am thinking maybe a layer of damp-course material although not sure it will be up to it as I assume a little movement is inevitable.

hiya

do they have the voss connectors , replaced my front struts with Dunlop’s and very pleased with them

Found the hardest bit was messing around the top connection, so after some searching found some brass pushfits which worked really well

made fitting the struts a lot easier , plus refused to buy voss connectors as they are £15 each , where the brass pushfits were £4.00 each

also fitted the pushfits to my valve blocks and airtank, my god it made the world of difference in fitting and not messing around with a spanner in tight arrears .
