Hello, I have just joined the site as i am intereted in Buying a P reg R/R with LPG.
Have been asking all the questions as you do.
Is the air suspension working fully on all settings was one question.

Was told that the air suspension is fine just a bit slow in the mornings while it builds up pressure, run it for 5-10 mins it works just as it should.

Does this sound correct?

I apologise in advance if this is not allowed on this site, But the R/R in question is on Fleabay number 180444408091, if anybody could give me some feedback it would be appreciated.

Thanks.

First, if the air suspension is perfect (unlikely) it should not go down ovenight. Second if it does go down it should come up in a few seconds (10 max). Most likely reason for it going down is perished airbags, not difficult or very expensive to DIY replace, could also be that the pump is shagged as it has had to overwork to compensate for the leaks. If you buy, haggle for at least £350 as the cost of sorting it.

hi,he has had a few problems with this, head gasket been done but it is thought that these cars that have been coverted to lpg can run hotter and this can lead to slipped liners.so be very carefull with this one.the heater blend flaps are stuck so he says, this is not as easy to fix as he reckons.

Its got the factory fit wheel arch rubbing strips, rare but nice. Looks like a nice enough motor, if the price is right do as said above, knock off £350 to allow for EAS airbags/compressor rebuild.

alloy block steel liner and if it has been over heated = ****ed and needs top hat liner piston runs in liner

Present owner only 6months! Check how long previous owner had it? Don`t trust lpg set-up if not certified, maybe ok , but... At this age the EAS is due to have some work done on it. Ashas been said d,i.y-able, if you prepared to get your hands dirty n knuckles skinned! Over-heating? Could cost a lot, but you could be lucky... At least have a LONG test drive: start from cold, motorway & crawling speeds alternating. A quick bash round the block ain`t enough. Offer to pay fuel if you got to. But as with any 2nd hand car check `n` check again. Good luck.
