Air suspension convertion?

I've converted my D2 air suspension to coil springs. I have removed the suspension compressor and height sensors, also pulled the relay and the fuse from under the bonnet. When telling the ECU to disable SLABS, the vehicle will crank but wont start, when enabling SLABS again, I get the air suspension warning lamp on the dash but the vehicle will fire up straight away like normal. Any ideas?

Air bags kept deflating and it seemed like a more cost effective solution

Oh dear! Should have introduced yourself first, then asked about your air suspension then we could have advised you against removing the best feature of the D2 which is incredible simply to maintain and is very cost effective.
