hey kernowdragon, what parts do you get in a rebulid kit, and how long does it take, is it an all day job, or just a few hours. i keep ketting a "RR Valve Stuck Closed" error so i think its about time to strip it.
Kit comprises basically of all the o-rings needed to refurb the block and some lubricant, and although the instructions (pdf on RR site) say diaphragm almost never needs doing I got one and did that too.
Most people say it can be done in a few hours. I took about an hour to strip it down (including spreading it out on a big sheet of paper with little pics to remind me which went where), I also marked each piece to get them back on in the right order.
Rather than scrub block in soapy water and put in oven, I opted to stick it in dishwasher and stand on top of boiler overnight to dry, which seemed to work ok.
Reassembly took a couple of hours, I reckon I could have been a bit quicker, but was paranoid about making sure everything went back right, so kept double checking, and then paint marked each bolt as I went to ensure each one was tightened and not missed.
As several people pointed out to me though that value stuck errors can be pump rather than block related, due to lack of pressure.
Forgot to mention, RR's kit also includes o-rings to replace those on the dryer, air bags, and reciever.
