Air suspension compressor failure

So I have a what I think is an Hitachi air suspension compressor that has failed (Disco 2012). Did Land Rover start using the AMK ones because of a design fault with the Hitachi? Don't want to put a new Hitachi one if that is going to fail again because of an underlying issue.

AMK are supposed to be an improvement over the standard Hitachi. However the Hitachi has lasted 7 years (assuming its the original), so fit what's cheapest. Don't forget that the AMK needs a software change too.
