Looks like the air springs on my Disco 2 are getting ready to fail again. Put 2 sets on it in the last 5 years, both from Paddocks? Is there a better make out there or are they all just generic "Dunlop" ones. Don't want to go down the coil spring route as the air system works well when towing, I just feel the air bags should be lasting longer than a couple of years? Thoughts / experience anyone?

Dunlop were the one's fitted as standard, from new,so they should last much longer than 5 years/set,never mind two sets,Arrnotts make them, give those a try, others have said they are better.

actually genunines are made by Contitech not Dunlop, the cheapest i've seen is at island 4x4
Sorry, but I understood it to be Dunlop who made them.Just looked them up,and Contitech were the original supplier. But the Dunlop brand were used later on,but there are some supplied with that name, but are of inferior quality and do fail fairly quickly.

If the aftermarket are fitted, you have to cut the original screwed fitting off.
Can you then go back to the contitech ones. Are these push fits as well?

afaik lately yes... though maybe those made for LR to become genuine are like the originals cos the cheaper OEM clasified ones even if they are made by the same manufacturer can be different based on the dealer's requirements... only somebody who paid the more than double price for genuine can confirm that

If it was my choice,I would rather buy the Conti ones,as they seem a better option, may cost more, but you will not have to change them as often, but it is up to each other as to what they fit.

I've just converted to coils.

Only good part was the airbags, rest was getting saggy

Had been fitted in Jan 2012, contitech, with a land-rover logo embossed into them, previous owners fitted them, have the invoice somewhere, it was pretty steep as I remember
