I have a 1999 Autobiography and I have a heater issue - still. I have changed the left hand blend motor (glove box side) as it was constantly blowing cold. Although the air being blown (either hot or cold) is being directed WHERE it should, I only get HOT air when my Hevac is on HI setting. If I turn it down at all, it blows cool. If I stop in traffic it starts to blow cool even on HI setting, but then heats up again when i start moving.
If I'm runnning at speed say 60-70mph, SOMETIMES the air temp from the heater will be hot or warm say around 26/27 on the Hevac. Other times when driving at that speed, the blowers are only HOT when the Hevac is set to HI.
Now, I know it's winter, but when i bought the car earlier this year, I used to regularly have the Hevac set to about 21! Now, that is freezing, but it was ok before the problems started.
I have also noticed that I have the little 'book' in the Hevac display - but not all the time. This does not always have a direct result on what I've mentioned here above. I'm thinking it could be a loose wire somewhere?
Whenever I have had this sort of problem in the past with other cars, it's always turned out to be an airlock in the cooling sytem if the heat given out from the blowers has been related to engine revs.
Any help would be appreciated.
