Hi
I have the coolant bubbling over out the expansion bottle at high revs over 60 mph on motorway , ok around town but guess not getting up to temperature, changed thermostat, expansion bottle cap, New coolant and tested jiggle valve to make sure not stuck. Still bubbling over with no real signs of hgf, is there anything else I should look at or just assume its now the hgf, which I had done 6 mths ago! I have to continually bleed the system.
Also a quick question on the thermostat which checked worked before I put in, as far as I understand and have tested its the water at the bottom of the thermostat that opens the valve, from the pipe connected to the bottom of the rad? Is this correct as no colder water will get into the system as the water through the rad never gets hot enough to open the thermostat unless stationary for a while.
Also is there a correct way round to put the thermostat as the top two pipes from the thermostat just connect to each other, it seems an obvious way to fit it due to the pipes orientation but thought I would check
Thanks for any advise
Nick
