Air horn for TD4?

Hi,

I find myself using my horn a lot these days. The standard horn isn't loud enough and people have commented on how silly it sounds!

Anyone know of a decent horn that is legal and will easily fit inside the engine bay of a TD4? Also, are there any complications that I can expect?

maybe something wrong with your horn, it should be a standard "twin tone" which sounds fine, but if one of them stops working, then it could sound a bit silly, so might be worth an investigate.

other option, as long as you happy wiring in a relay, are any of the air horns on ebay. the only ones that are illegal are those which play a tune.

As O P sez, check both 'horns' work, had same prob on my disco, fitted 2 new ones, now good as new

You could try a Stebel Nautilus air horn, very compact and VERY loud. I have one fitted to my motorbike and it now sounds like a truck

i had twin air horns from halfrauds fitted on my 110 for a while but it just made ppl laugh sound like summat from a cartoon
