2004 TD4 FL1
This vehicle is fitted with an air con system and the compressor, switches and relays are all in place.
The problem is there is no feed wire or plug to the compressor. It may have been cut and removed at some time and not replaced.
All the wiring diagrams I have downloaded show a red R.30 wire going to the compressor but I can't locate this on the car.
Can anyone tell me where to start stripping back the loom to search for this wire?

Hi,

I don't undestand, does the car originaly comes witth AC ?
Are you looking for a missing wire because AC doesn't work ?

Yes it looks like original equipment and yes I need to find the missing power feed wire to the compressor
So the issue is there no wire that is plugged to the compressor ?
No matter if you plug it again, you will certainly have no more gaz in the circuit, and the AC will not work.
You will need a gas refill ...
Perhaps the Compressor was unpluged because it was causing trouble ...

No feed wire plugged in to the compressor. Can't find wire. Compressor clutch remotely tested and working.

look for a small conduit running up the inside of the front driver's side inner wing, it should be there somewhere. and will have a connector somewhere in the engine bay.
On the R40 it looks like this so it maybe in the same place ?

Many thanks for posting this. Unfortunately this wire is not in my vehicle. Can you tell me where it goes to on the left side of your picture as I am suspecting it has been cut off from the loom?

Ok so having untaken a tidying up of the shed today, i found these, three A/C compressor wiring leads.

Round plug is inserted into the compressor.
The square plug joins the loom to the engine.

Please remember these photos are from the diesel R40 which as the same engine as the FL1 TD4

Many thanks for posing this. It definitely looks like it could be the wire that is missing from my car. I will be happy to purchase one if you are happy to sell.
