air con dual pressure switch

I've noticed that the wires going to the air con dual pressure switch have been cut on my 300 tdi. Before I start messing around with it to try and get it working again anyone got any ideas why it might have been done?

It must have been done by a Vandal, and who know what they are thinking.
So I haven't a clue.

cheers obviously it's not a cure for a common prob, I'll just connect it up and see what it does.
