I've got some switch bulbs out on this unit. I know it might seem a bit trivial to some, but i like things to work. I've had the radio out and apparently i'm supposed to reach in and free the control unit thru this opening. I'm buggered if i can get it out. I've put a screwdriver down thru two holes and tried levering spring clips in on either side to no avail. Has anyone else been here and got any advice. I don't want to force it and break something and do a whole lot of F--kin
and Blindin about the cash its goin to cost to replace it.

If its the climate control unit (lcd display) with the temp controls - its held in by two big spring clips - one either side.
I used a paint scraper to lever out each side, small distances at a time. I had to bend the clips back into shape before re fitting.

What kind of Disco?

The other way is remove the coin tray and ash tray, undo the 6 screws holding in the cup holder assy, remove that and you can also poke your finger in there then to push the clips back to remove the Aircon unit.
