The aircon is still working on my 2005 TD5 Defender.
But the condenser looks pretty sorry for itself, some of the vanes have fallen out and l wanted to fit a new one.

LR want over £400 for a replacement, is there an alternative, does anybody do a pattern condenser?

There are a couple of sellers on fleabay that sell surplus defender stuff, mostly take-offs from delivery mileage vehicles which have been blinged up. item numbers 143077567751 and 173256653203 will identify the sellers (these are not condensers however). I know some of the parts have the same part numbers for TD5 and Puma in the aircon, radiators and intercoolers (I found this when I got an intercooler from the first item seller). They are selling at a MASSIVE saving on new from LR (my intercooler was £80 nearly new and genuine part). Worth an enquiry if you know the part number.

I found it at £370

Says OE in a plain box, manufacturer “Britpart”
I am guessing it is OE as Britpart are unlikely to sell a spurious copy. I’ve searched the internet and nobody does one.

Actually it looks like Britpart do supply an alternative make
As it’s listed “OEM” which means “not a Land Rover part”

Thank you for the reply.

Was it easy to fit, just wondering if l could do it myself although l would need to get the gas removed/replaced.
My local LR specialist has quoted me £150

If its still working I would not worry to much, I see condensors all the time at work with the fins hanging out/missing and they go on for years.
