Morning folks.

I found the cause of a coolant leak was a snapped air bleed screw, it was just sat in position but leaking none the less.
I bought a new one & fitted it after retrieving the screw left in the thread but its still weeping, now my question is have I lost a washer while taking it off or is it just a matter of tightening it until it stops weeping?

Regards

Keith

if the top hose is a cheaper aftermarket one that's how it happens, if you want to tighten it harder it will cede again... use some teflon monofilament sealer on the top half of the screw's thread...or bite the bullet and buy a genuine top hose

As far as I'm aware it's still original (51 plate).
Is the teflon monofilament a glorified PTFE tape or something else?

If it's summat else where do I aquire a portion of it?

Cheers

Keith
