Morning all, the sodding saga continues :(, I tried moving my coil back so I could install a second battery.
What an easy job I thought! NARP!! won't start now, plus lpg switch lights not working now so some fuse has blow on lpg side of things which is like trying to find a condom in a nunnery!
No power to coil , so I'm moving it back to behind the headlight bulk head to see if anything joy.
Mine is also fitted with a Rover V8 Ignition amplifier A&R LPG + Petrol dual fuel Module Amp so if any one out there has same set up in their discovery 1 es v8 with lpg conversion, can you , could you please either write the colour wires and where they connect also the coil, I remember the negative side having 3 wires connected, it only has two now so I've done something wrong there .
It's now been a week of trying to sort I'm at the end of my tether with it now. All I see when I close my eyes is bloody wiring diagrams and dead people to!
So I'm putting my heart and soul out there, could some one please send me some pics showing the wiring in place as should be.
I'm now going into the car park to stare at my engine and hope inspiration will hit me like a freight train
I await your wisdom guys,I'm one very lost landy man :(

On my V8 coil which is in my 101 the terminal with 3 wires are white from ignition switch, green from starter solenoid and red from dizzy the other has a white from dizzy it is electronic dizzy so colours might be diffrent...the green wire is only live when crancking to give extra ooomph to the coil...hope that helps a bit...

OK shippers I will have experience a look, I aired it back know to original location turned key and a loud pop was the result. So have I now blown the coil? Or what could it be? Relays? Starter motor I have no idea, she didn't even crank, I have done everything thing else on her and managed to do it. But this has me on my bloody knees know

What colour wires do you have at coil?...ignition position 2 should give 12v at coil from switch wire if not work back to switch testing as you go...as for no crank have you disturbed wiring to solenoid...have you checked your wiring is correct on the coil..dont know about relay the 101 doesnt have any

I'm struggling with this but will try and see, it's the loud pop that has me concerned as well, is it a fuse the coil I haven't a clue
If you still have a fully functioning immobiliser then that will isolate the 12v to the coil until remobilise with your fob, the starter relay will also be inhibited.

The repositioning the coil and ign.amplifier from it’s existing position to the rear engine firewall will not give u any issues, as long as you extended correctly the existing wiring to suit the new location.

Hi discool hope your well? Thanks for that, I seem to have made something go pop passenger side, either relay or some thing. What might I have done? Also you know the blocks near coil and plate? Well I have white wire black tracentre going to the negative post but there is a blessing wire with white trace floating around which terminal does that go to? On the coil. For the headache this has caused I wish I hadn't started it.
Now I'm thinking I've blown something passenger side either behind the passenger facia panel or behind glove box. I feel overwhelmed by this as what I thought was a fairly straightforward job has now lasted 4 days and she doesnt run.
Ànd advice would be appreciated

Hi Bushcrusher hope you’re okay also.
Off the top of my head there’s nothing that would interfere with engine starting on the passengers side although there’s a few relays there plus ECUs behind the glovebox butyl 12 v circuits are fuse protected.
Are u able to remobilise the engine, ie with the fob red led extinguishes, also the locking /unlocking remotely is ok?
Anyway the coil top connections are shown below. Hope it helps U.
