Again 4.6 overheating your thoughts please LOL

HI i know this engine and its troubles and it is a thor engine so it hasn't got the troublesome extra head bolts but….

I really don't want to replace this engine its got 94k on the clock and sounds sweet.

Now the trouble seamed to start with the previous owner he got a LPG conversion done 14 months ago and then the trouble started last month, I've done the heads pressure tested them, replaced temperature switches and thermostats.
The engine blows hoses and is a night mare, compression test good, coolant test good and coolant sniff test good.

So why the F is it overheating ????????? it will idle fine as soon as you do 1/2 a mile boom up it goes

I must be missing summit

Blocked rad? Get it hot , turn off then feel all over the inner surface of the rad, any cold areas show it's blocked.

Otherwise, rolled up newspaper test of viscous fan, or impeller off the water pump . . . ?

As above, RAD, water pump viscous fan or stat.

Take the rad out its not hard job if its heavy its blocked it caused all my problems i changed thermostat pump fan did sniff test it would idle all day and drive for ten mins unless i booted it the second i did then water everywhere. I rebuilt my engine with tophat liners renewed everything but took rad to expert for him to test when i handed it over he said it was too heavy. I cut old one up and sure enough it had scale in it which never showed up flushing it through .

Sorted that P38, Dodge viscous, it passed the paper test or my hand and would suck like a whore but it would give up over 2000 rpm and go slack again hence the over heating whilst driving well there you go, a bolicks viscous blew the head gasket

If it has aircon, worth doing my cooling fans mod as a back up.

Yeah would have been, i have done it to the other LR's i have but its gone now that one was a mates not mine, so oh well LOL
