has anyone out there fitted any vdo or after market gauges into their dash panel?
I'm thinking if replacing my clock, water temp, and fuel gauge, with a set from VDO.
My biggest concern is with the water temp gauge, and where I can install the new sensor? Does anyone recommend one of those inline sensors, where you cut the rad hose, and install the sensor in place there?
Secondly, what size gauges would fit into the dash panel like the old ones?
cheers,

The gauges are 52mm

you can often get a thread adapter to allow aftermarket sensors to be fitted in place of the original.

I'm looking at fitting an extra inline temp sensor and gauge in addition to the standard one on my td5 aswell as a ammeter and voltmeter. I'll be fitting them into my mud console though.

You can buy thread adapters from Demon Tweeks. You just need to know the size. On a RRC V8 it's 5/8 UNF.Don't know if other engines are different ?
