Freelander 1 Aerial leaking water into the center console

My TD4 is leaking. it is 2006.

Was searching the internet and found this. Is this something can be fixed free by the dealer? looks like manufacturing defect?

That looks like something affecting earlier models. Is it not your sunroof that is leaking?

I think rubber perishing on a 10 year old vehicle is unlikely to be covered by any Land Rover warranty. It's owners would have had fair use out of the vehicle over that time. The bulletin I think applies only to older vehicles too, and would have had to been rectified back in the 90's.

I replaced my aerial (on a 3 door) just recently, and it was not too difficult to get at. If the rubber is in good nick, just removing it and cleaning might solve the problem. If not, I think they are about £20 for a new one.

thanks for the replies. I had a Chrysler which had airbag issue and they fixed it after 10 years for free. may be that is a safety issue than this...

there is no sun roof in mine.
