Any opinions on worth getting a Sat Nav. I thought about it but as I go on hols to the same place I probably don't need one. I like to keep up with technology, just got myself a mobile.

thur a distraction while driving, they have a tendency to take you into buidling sites, canals and the wrong way up a one way street. buy a good map fer less than a tenner and send all the money you save to me.

Get a sat nav, you will not regret it. As a truck driver for last 35 years, sat nav best thing since sliced bread.

I'm with Slob on this one - only send all the money you save to me! I can spend it with out getting it changed into Euros.:D :D

Ok if you're a delivery man or summink but for the man in the street sat nav has got to be THE saddest accessory you can possibly spend your obviously too big wad on. My bruv in law's got one he once told us it had taken him 70 miles on a needless detour. He knew he was going the wrong way but the sad **** still followed the little box on the dashboard:rolleyes: Gimme a good old fashioned map anyday:) :)

did any one see the 700 mile trip an ambulance made following the sat nav? it was supposed to be less than a 50mile trip at the beginning! they seem to be crap! prefer to use a map, least it don't tell you to u turn on the m6 like me ol mans did!

Arh, but the real scary thing is there are people driving who would have actually done the U turn then and there instead of driving up to the next junction!
