Advice Wanted

Right novice that i am at this game can you lot advise me on the follwoing:

Tire pressure guid for Colways 235x70x16

Aslo is it legal to let people sit in rear fold down seats without seat belts..I presume not if so were can i get lap belts from cheap?

Also if fitting a KN Filter what wil i have to change fueling wise?

And again were can i get a replacement rear bumper unit as mine is very tatty!!

Also i want remove my carpets in the front as they are also tatty and replace with Rubber matting sets compleate mould if you like and sound proof as well ???

And lastly i cannot decide wether i should remove Cubby Box and fit another front seat, I do alot of Hunting and the old Cubby comes in handy for Thermost and Hunting Kit and the odd Baggy!!, However my misses is fed up with taking the back Bench as the 2 year old wont go in the back as its its his Dads Lorry!!!, plus not safe with no seat belts in rear.
Can we have a vote on pros and cons of removing???


Last thing im preping my 200 TDI Engine to go in and its in need of a good clean before fitting and paint job, whats the best stuff to clean as i want to place it in a container..LARGE ONE... and use some kind of liquid or thinners etc to hand brush all the grime off the block,also what should i cater for to protect the inner engine other than stuffing with Rags?

im not sure about thinners or liquids but u can get gunk i think its called from halfords for 7.99 supposed to clean engine like new same stuff same tin in nettos 1.99 i use middle seat instead of chubby for the little one until i get some fold up back seats as for lap belts theres sum on ebay ( not sure if i can mention them on here ) to late!!!

seats from same get your bumper from www.scorpionracing.co.uk and im sure they also do a cleaning fluid for engine you will find these bumpers are made quality they do both winch and straight forward bumpers and extreem tube bumpers and can all be fitted with good strong swivel recovery eyes ive just rememberd i have a spare lap-belt knocking about still in box will have a look today if so you can have for a few quid is still new

also k&n filter you just replace dont need to adjust fuelling but disconnect the emmissions pipe running to the filter box/pipe as this will cause dirty bad breath oil from engine to ruin your nice new k&n just drop onto chassis somewhere and block hole up at filterbox/pipe
done same my 90 defender 200tdi and to my 200tdi disco and both are showing improvements in smoke and are slightley better in breathing now as i dont get any oil in air boxes instead i get my chassis at front wings driped in used oil but it dont drip lot /you could use a catch tank/bottle if you wish hope this helps regards colin

just out of intrest tim what items you got missing from engine and if you send me your address in private mail will post you the lapbelt out will have aword with a mate who might have some spare parts knocking about wont see him till sat/sun though

No it is not legal for anyone to sit in any seat of a moving vehicle without some kind of TUV/BSI approved seatbelt

my Tyres 235/70/16 are around 35 at rear and 25 at front but I have a Range Rover don't know the difference.

The K&N Filter (is only a brand) I found a nicer looking version which I get heaps of hissing from a touch better fuel around 1mpg

In this months LR mags there is a company offering good 6mm bumpers around £250 each.

I put up a message a while ago saying i was ripped off by a breaker some time ago with a 200tdi engine a was short shipped parts listed and i have no money now having spent all my money on the engine i am looking to swap my (2.5 TD ENGINE FOR PARTS LISTED OR SELL IT ANY TAKERS , ENGINE STILL RUNNING)

intercooler pipes
rad
alternator
starter

do you need a standard 200 intercooler you mean ?? or you need a water radiator ?

300 tdi hoses are diff but its a good start realy you can use the rubber and poss the bottom hose

you can use your TD alternator and starter and power steering pump on ya 200 tdi

I have been given the intercooler bit i need the Radiator that sits at the side of the Intercooler??..now im confused..lol...

What im thinking i might be able to fit the 200TDI intercooler at the front of my 90 Rad it apears their may be room?
But if you have a Rad off a 200TDI will have that?

I thought you needed a water radaitor ??? and you had a standard intercooler

what i mean is i could not use my rad from 2.5 TD as the 200TDI has a whole unit with the intercooler at the side but the 200 has a shorter Rad to acomadate the Intercooler
or am i wrong???

I need an Rad that will fit with intercooler as i have looked at my rad in the 90 and its bloody masive it goes over almost full lenth of grill so looking at it would not Rad from 90 and Intercooler from a 200 due to the lenth of my 90s Rad..
