Advice please on Radius arm bush replacement.

Just had the landy looked over by 4x4 centre locally and one of the main things to come up was that the bushes on both radius arms are shot. There's an awful lot of play in them as even i could see when he put a bar on them. insides are breaking up visibly.
Problem is there quoting £300+vat to do these and i just cant go to that so need to try and do it myself. There are a couple of other bushes to be done in that price but they say they are fairly straight forward.
They have offered to press the new ones in for me to help me out if i want to tackle myself, but they tell me getting the old off and out can be a nightmare.

Can any of you give me some good methods, advice or sneaky hints on doing this with methods a man can use without a massive tool box.

Use poly bushes an no need to press them in .Easy way to get old ones out drill the rubber an chizzel the metal sleeve out

Are the polly bushes easy to get ahold of and just as strong or stronger!!

Very easy to get hold of got mine from Driffield, I got a full set shocks tie rods etc and I am now working around the 110. Use a cheap hole saw to cut out the rubber around the bush then use a hacksaw to cut to the metal then pliers to pull the rest out. Use copper grease when refitting. You will need new bolts & nuts and will cost a fraction of the £300 quoted even if you have to buy spanners etc. Did mine and it was no nightmare although did ache the following day. You can cut the bolts off if you want it is quick and I would replace them anyway.

Don't use polybushes, unless you want to be doing them again in 6 months time.
I did mine using genuine replacements - not too difficult really.
Who quoted £300 ffs!

genuine polys last longer than 6 month as do the super pro ones, they have a 3 year guarantee

you only need new nuts and bolts if old are obviously worn (ie waisted on shank).genuine bushes definately last longer but poly are what i fit as anybody can fit/remove ,even the cheap poly kits ive found last a good few years ,

just changed my front radius arms for castor correction ones and the poly bushes i fitted 8 or 9 years ago were still absolutely mint over the years they have had some serious pounding fast driving a rough lane where i used to run a fishing syndicate . maybe ****part are rubbish but dont think the better quality makers would still be in buisness if they were all crap

dont look bad fo minimum of 8 years old

great help guys.
Just got to decide if polly or standard now!!!
Arguments seem good either way.

Most of the other bushes and grommets on this seem to have been pollybushed and the mechanic looking at it commented on how well someone had benn going at it, but for a few bits, which are those now giving out.

This obviously wasn't the idiots i got it from, but the owner before. It was all done over 2.5yrs ago for sure.

Yes local Landy shop will stock them I've had mine in for over 12 months an no problems I even took them out 2 weeks ago an re fitted them after reading the tarantula trailing arm thread after getting the arms re welded I weren't taking no chances my bro has had his poly bushes in for well over 2 years an no probs an he only use's his for extreme off roading

O an there only ****part ones so I guess not that ****part lol

They were quiet loose but have done 4 other sets same way and they all came out without a struggle. It causes the outer ring to reduce in size. As it folds in on it's self.

bottom picture is A frame bushes ,i fitted most types ,and all have seemed fine ,you get ad genuine parts to from time to time ,the only ones i wouldnt fit are the one piece cotton reel type ,as are **** to fit 2 peice are easier
