Advice on tyres

Hi

I've searched the forum and got several different oppinions, but am looking for some up-to-date advice on best M/T tyres to put on standard disco 1 steel rims without a suspension lift or bodywork mods.

I'm looking for bigger diameter if poss, to help on the ruts.

Do i need to mod anything to change tyre diameter?

thanks, but i was looking for some friendly advice from a fellow owner.

i've tried googling with not many helpful results.

a) look at the sticky at the top of the Disco section.
b) fit Kumho KL71's?
