Hi there
I am new to this forum and have joined as you all seem to know what you are talking about!
I would be grateful on any advice on buying and Discovery 3 HSE auto with 100k on the clock for £10,000
The situation is at the moment is that my husband rolled his TD5 Disco last week and it has be written of by the insurers. He needs a new one and I have a TD5 ES 03 plate with 90,000 on the clock.
I do about 25,000 miles a year in my job and my husband does about 12,000. We are thinking that he buys buys mine from me.
We have a friend who sells and services secondhand landrovers and has always looked after us very well with regards to buying and servicing landys.
I am just wondering if buying a HSE 05 auto for £10K would be a good idea with regards to reliablity etc and the cost of it being £10K
As I am going to wack the miles on it I don't see the point in spending £18k + on something with lower miles and losing more money as I put the miles on.
I'm thinking of keeping for 1 year -18 months and then selling it with 130/140 on the clock - possibly to my husband.
I have had a quick look on ebay and auto trader and HSE's with 130K seem to be selling at around £13K-£14K
The other other thing is ...I think they are lovely cars to drive and I really want one!
Any comments welcome!
Thanks for reading
