looking for some advice from someone who has changed a bulkhead in a series 3 88", how long does it take to remove the old bulkhead and fit the new one in its place? im a mechanic to trade but havent done this job before, would it be possible in a weekend with a couple blokes?

also does a defender bulkhead fit or does it have to be a series 3 bh,

thanks in advance

a deffender one will fit but you need to change the windscreen hinges for series 3 ones as theyre totally different

as for the swap job make sure youve got a new set of bolts for the outriggers so you can cut the old ones off rather than waste half the day trying to undo the old buggers and have plenny of new metric nuts n bolts handy for replacing the old ****ters off the wings and sills

with a couple of knowledgeable blokes and the weather on your side no brew breaks straight head down arse up graft for a full day i reccon it can be done in a day :smokin:

yeah it will be ready to go new nuts and bolts ect but it wont be possible without a brew break:), a single day you reckon?

a bloody long one but i reccon a single day ( remember theres 24 hours in one of them ) :D:D:D

if i can fully rebuild me series within 5 months to its current standard a bulkhead should be easy in a day ;);)

the plan is to get a repairable bulkhead do it up ready to go then fit it and paint the whole thing as well as fit a new homemade wiring loom and hopefully should see her a few years im not looking for perfection as its just a general purpose motor that i use for a multitude of sins haha
