Advice needed

I need a near side drag link ball joint end for a 1987 defender but can’t seem to find one, could anyone send me a link to one please ?? Tia

I think you need to brush up on your Google-fu skills. Land Rover parts are easily available from 100’s of retailers.

Btw technically there is no such thing as 1987 Defender...... what you have is a Ninety.

The problem I was having is they provide so many different item codes for the same item and all say 1990 onwards

I assume you mean a track rod end for the steering?

They are all essentially the same. But they are handed. This is so you can rotate the track rod/tie bar to lengthen or shorten it in situ. However I can’t tell you which you need as it will depend on which way round the track bar has been fitted.

The different makes are down to quality. Cheap is cheap but usuall wear quicker. Especially if you use it off road.

Yeah I do, I took it to famous four for a check over and they gave me a list of things it needed !

That’s spot on it’s just with there being so many I didn’t know what to get, but I’ve bought a pair so either way they should fit but I’m going to replace both anyway at the same time,

Yeah I usually go for mid range as I’ll only being a little bit of off road nothing major

there are a few change points but in general you will need pre la.... model year parts there are some minor change points in between for a few parts

Thankyou, I don’t need many more parts as of yet but I’ll keep that in mind and hopefully find what I need
