Hi guys iv got a question for you about my landy.
Its a Series 109" Ex MoD GS and i give £210 for it but the chassis is rotten.
Originally i was going to strip it and weld/replace the rotten bits and then happy days!
But after doing some calculations (believe me that in it self was difficulty
) i worked out that the cost of doing this is in between 800-900 quid, where as i might be able to get a decent second hand chassis for 2-300 quid.
The welding and the stripping isnt a problem as my main driver is a S3 88" that i got and started to rebuild when i was 13, but i am not sure which is the best path as a second hand might be alright at first but may be just as rotten.
A Galvanised Chassis is out the question as firstly the price and secondly the bulkhead isnt that great and id rather used a normal chassis and then if the bulkhead goes at a later date it wont be too much of a disappointment because i didnt spend thousands just on the chassis.
So which would you do?
