I am confused at the wish to build, let alone own, a 2 door leviathan I know back in the day there was a 2 door Range Rover, but I never saw the appeal there either. Climbing in and out , manoeuvring past the front seats, is for sporty little numbers, cheap hatchbacks and youngsters
It is not for quarter of a million pound, large, 4x4, luxury , off-road , vehicles.
I can just imagine this , all shiny and black, as the A listers, and billionaires, like to arrive in, pulling up to a red carpet, a nice restaurant or other event. The driver jumps out , opens the door, moves the seat forward and the latest celeb/billionaire, struggles out past the front seat, gets her heel caught in her dress, stumbles, catches the door to steady herself, gathers her composure, as best she can, then walks into the venue, in a foul mood , muttering all sorts of obscenities about it , under her breath.
Or the multi-millionaire , self -driving, mummy or daddy trying to put the kids , in their car seats , whilst stretching from the front.
There seems no reason, other than , 'one for the collection' for this to be built. It does not plug a gap ( well apart from the ones that leak) , it does not improve on the four door option, of being able to get in and out with ease, in a dignified manner. At least not in my mind. So what is it for?
Also those headrest DVD players , look like an aftermarket, bought at argos, or maybe even lidl ,item. Land Rover already do fitted in headrest devices. Why not use those. Or if they didn't like the original, for a quarter of a million, I am sure they could come up with something bespoke.
I'm sure some of you will love it. I don't , and I don't get it's role. Two doors and a big engine belong on sporty little numbers , or the tractor unit of a lorry.
