turns out 3 months cover has cost me £260 what a rip off
I could understand
3 months cover at £90 and £60 charges
but £90 for the cover and £170 for the charges

Wont be going back to Flux again total Rip Off
Disgusted

Hi Rusty Spanner,

Sorry to hear about your bad experience.

If you want to ping me a PM with your policy number, I will get it looked into to see if there is anything we can do to help.

Many thanks,

Jordan

They did the same to me, when i phoned to cancel the insurance on a beach buggy, i even told them i was only insuring it to sell.
They also did it to my dad a couple of months ago, when he had to cancel a policy.
Mind you could be worse, a friend has been waiting over 4 months for them to pay him just over £300, for a policy he canceled.

Again, if you would like to ping me a PM with your policy number I can certainly get it looked at. Unfortunately as a broker, there are things like the insurers fee that we have no control over, which is all in the legal information read out to customers prior to purchasing a policy. We do have great offers if you re insure with ourselves as existing clients so by all means give us a call and let us know you're from here on the forum so we can include your membership discount!

Im going to just to Flux/Ed/Jordans defence here.

This isn't just Flux, (or even flux themselves) its the underwriters

If you think that's bad, I was with Octagon for my last car, renewed in the July, bought the defender in august, and tried to change the vehicle, they declined as it had too many seats.
6 weeks, original insurance £456 after taking off charges etc, I allegedly owed THEM £9.50 (ok I had paid monthly, but had paid deposit (2 months worth) and a further monthly instalment, so in total 3 months of cover.
after I had spoken to them, they still sent me letters saying I hadn't paid and insurance would be cancelled etc etc...
after a bit of tooing and frowing, eventually got it sorted, as I shouldn't have to pay the "cancellation charge" as I wasn't cancelling, it was them who couldn't insure my vehicle, I got an apology and they refunded me £50 :)

Bloody hell Ed goes on holiday/work/jollies and poor old Jordan gets it in the neck straight away :(

It's what i'm here for! We want to build the absolute best relationship possible with you guys, as it's the enthusiasts that we are wanting to insure. There are always going to be queries/issues with any insurer - having Ed or myself around within the community can only be a good thing (I hope!)

Ed trained him, Jordan was well indoctrinated about the LZ members:D He was watching for a week or so..

Hang tough Jordan........... Ed did

I started counselling after work last night. Apparently the nightmares will stop after 4-6 sessions - Fingers crossed hey :p

It's always difficult with cancellations unfortunately, with 99.9% of insurers. When you purchase a policy there is the FCA script read to you which will state the facts (Different terms & conditions for every policy) so it is best to make sure you fully understand it before purchasing, request further information in writing if need be. As stated previously, as a broker there are certain fee's (Eg. Insurers fee) that we have no control over, however if you choose to reinsure a vehicle with ourselves, we can give you a much better deal as an existing client.

I hope this helps a little, if anyone has any questions about their particular policy - by all means PM me your policy number and I can look into it/answer questions etc.

Many thanks,

Jordan

I didn't notice the avatar last night whilst on the Ipad! - Dependant on how the next three weeks go whilst i'm covering for Ed, I may be in touch!

Having never met Grimmer, i'll reserve judgement, but I highly doubt Grimmer in a nurse outfit will be my thing i'm afraid!

To be fair I had to cancel me insurance with Aidrian flux a week after getting it on my jeep Cherokee.(immobiliser fault that would cost £4500+ to fix on a 97 with with 160k on it) and they were nothing short of brill. Yes I lost my first payment/deposit. The difference was £6 something I owed them and they just waived that straight out. When I get my S2a going it not even a thought of who I'll go for.

Great to here Aidso, we'll always go the extra mile to help out where we can. By all means give me/Ed a PM when you are ready to insure then we can arrange a call back for you. Also don't forget to mention your LZ membership for the relevant discounts!

Best regards, Jordan

To be fair it didn't need much discount in the first place was very reasonable. But I will defo give you a shout as it will be a weird policy. As in lots of drivers.
