I have a 2004 LRD TD5 Metroplis-when I stop at junctions and finally park there is a lot of hissing like a lorry air brakes
Dealer says it is the ACE system-Is this normal to hiss every time

I'd say it's the SLS relevelling the car after u step out(normal ride height mode).......this is normal.....just watch the rear during that hissing if it drops a bit(up to 20 mm) then stops it's normal........and if it is that way u may tell to that dealer to find another job:mad:... anyway the ACE is a hydraulic not an air based system and i've never heard ACE hissing:doh:.

Normal ride height
When the vehicle is stationary, a door is open and the ignition is off, the SLS system will allow the rear of the vehicle
to lower to within 20 mm of the normal ride height as load is removed from the vehicle.
.......This can be done just with a hissing taking into account that it must release air
