hi guys,

I'm keeping my ACE system because I use it as my daily and it drives great with it.

But...I've fitted rocksliders & the ACE system sensor is on the drivers sill box section. I cant cut around it on the rockslider, so i've drilled the rivets & removed it.

I've replaced it in the original place onto the plate on the rockslider, but I've seam sealed it to it.

How does the sensor work? Does it need to be flush & riveted as to make an earth of some sort? Because as pictured, the fault light is still on.

Any help much appreciated!!

Hi, no the sensor needs no earth but do you have an accelerometer fault code logged for it to be sure it's not something else ? if yes read live data eventually make a calibration if it's not exactly in the same place

Nope, no other faults, just soon as i unplugged it the light came on, plugged it back in & it cleared...then I removed the sensor and refitted it and its on...as far as i can tell its in the right place...if not, god knows who i can get to calibrate it to its new position

Calibration is with diagnostic tool, make sure you didnt bend a pin with the connector and improvise an earth strap to it maybe i'm wrong and it misses earth to fixing but i doubt that
