Hi all,

I have an intermittent yellow ACE warning light coming up. Typically, it did not do it with the Lynx plugged in!

There were no faults at all logged so I ran the local LR dealer, he said it was probably low on pressure and required the filter changing in the ACE pump. He explained it is a nightmare to do as it is fragile etc but said the system should be running at at least 7.5 bar. He said it is fine to drive but the ACE will not be as effective/delayed response.

On checking (image attached) the System Pressure on mine is only 5.42bar. Is this the correct pressure to be looking at as the Residual Pressure is not much more and the "Pressure Sensor" is reading 16.94.

Whilst driving, the System Pressure ranges from 6 bar to 82 bar. It does seem to drive OK but having never driven with ACE, and not having access to a similar vehicle, I would not know if it was working or not.

I ran the actuator tests to ensure the system was working and all ok. Also no visible signs of any leaks / fluid level ok etc.

Has anyone else had this intermittent problem? And could it just be a faulty pressure sensor?

Many thanks for any help.

it could be the pressure transducer or corrosion in the plugs... the pressure in the rams at hard cornering may reach 135 bar in a good system

that is serious pressure! the light tends to come on on straightish roads and will go off with a good tap of the brakes or a swerve across the road

when I had ACE fitted and the transducer was faulty, the light would reset itself every time the ignition was switched off. It would come on at a particular corner every day on the way to work. Replaced the transducer and all good again.
Cheaper solution would have been to find a new route to work:D
