Disco 2 Ace rear anti roll bar chassis bracket

Has anyone got a picture they could share with me of the chassis bracket which the bracket bolts to on an ace rear anti roll bar. Some Muppet put only one bracket on nearest the hydraulic ram thing but not only that they used some Micky mouse bracket that was only an inch wide which resulted in the roll bar tearing its self off and buggering up the chassis bracket. I now have two new proper size brackets and bushes but I can't see how they go. The one they bodged on had two bolts through it but these new ones obviously slide in one end and one bolt holds it in position. Only I have no bolt hole. So any pictures would really help. Even if I have to fabricate a bracket.

Thanks Simon, but I have bought those parts all ready it is the actual part that's welded to the chassis that the clamp bolts to that I'm after as the Muppet who put 1 dodgy undersized clamp on has ripped the bracket on the chassis up.

I should have some photos of that area from when we replaced the rear chassis section a few weeks ago. I'll look some out in an hour or so.

That is fantastic. Just what I need. Now I can see what a mess mine are really in. Mine don't have any of the welded nuts like in you picture. They look like they have been torn off, which is worrying how they actually managed it.

They look the nuts if you pardon the pun, but I need to fab the bracket up first then I think it will have to be a nut and bolt job. It's a shame I couldn't remove them to make them up agin as it's a bit of a ****e place to work on them.

Doesn't look too bad a job. Cut the bottom flat bit away and replace with 2mm (maybe 3mm) steel sheet. Weld the new nut on before you weld the plate in though.

Whatever brackets & ARB bushes that were on there were far too narrow compared to the originals.
Someone has really bodged that for some reason.
Even if the original captive nut had become a problem there was no need to change the bracket & drill the mounting at the other end.
What else have they bodged on the car?

I do have a spare which could be sold cheap if required as I fitted a new one.

Yeah that's the plan, although I'm going to just use a nut and bolt so I can offer the proper bracket up and mark and drill the hole spot on.

Yeah the bracket they used was about an inch wide but used the wider ARB rubber bush. Some people hay. I haven't found any other bodge ups yet but I've just finished welding on the sills so I've yet to have ventured higher up than that yet. Watch this space

Thanks for the offer MJI but as far as I can make out it's all good. Scary the thought that someone was driving it round with the roll bar held on with only one bracket and that was to small.
