Hi guys
The dreaded ace pipes are leaking so i am looking to buy a kit to replace the lot and fit roll bars.
being a fairly competent diy mechanic does anyone know for a step by step
otherwise its gonna cost £250.00 which i cant really afford

cheers chaps
Mark:)

All nuts and bolts really, but you'll need a different auxiliary belt and maybe an extra idler on a TD5, depending on your other fitments.

Buy new drop links, the old ones won't come off without a cutting disc being used.

+1.
You WILL need a new idler pulley to replace ACE pump.

Make sure you get a new aux belt too, a non ace one with or without AC depending on if yours is fitted with AC. IMO go for genuine belt then they dont give jip and squeak.

GENUINE or OEM drop links only....cheap ones are complete utter rubbish and YOU will end up buying 'proper ones' very shortly after!! Cheap ones pop, crunch and sound awfull. Whilst your at it get some new ARB bushes to fit.

Personally when doing the job, I would remove ace pump and fit new pully and belt first, simply so you can still use it (wouldn't recommend it though, and if u do, take it easy) in an emergency.

Sell the pump and valve block after ;)
