Morning all, found a new leak on my disco this morning. Over the last few weeks I've noticed I had to top up the ACE fluid a little bit as it was down just below the max mark. There was quite a bit of oil around the ACE valve block but I wasn't sure if this was all the other leaks tracking there , cleaned it all up last night and left it on the ramp. This morning there was still no oil so ran the engine stationary for 5 mins, the bottom pipe of the ACE (closest to the chassis) has a leak that looks to be from the seal.

Question is can the seals be replaced? I remember our local LR "specialist" saying a while ago it's quite common but a pain in the arse to do and sometimes more damage can be caused by trying to fix it.

seal packs can be replaced but pipe needs to be corrosion free were it enters block and seals ,theres a swage in the pipe the collets secure the pipe its known for that to leak as pipe steel is very thin there

Pipes can split (mine had) so read the threads on here and D2BC about ACE conversions to standard hydraulic fitments
