Good morning.

So yesterday driving home from work my TD5's ACE light came on. Underneath it had completely wet itself.

AA man turns up and gets a belt to bypass the ACE pump and tells me it will be fine to drive like that from now on and can just keep the ACE equipment fitted.

I need to take a good look Underneath as I don't want to remove it would rather repair and fix it, I have seen a few thread on converting to high pressure pipes etc.

Thank you

Big thread on D2 boys club about it

Yes I saw that....

I'm just interested to know what people think regarding the AA gentleman's advice about just driving it with all the equipment still on just disabled.

Personally I'm only going to drive to the garage to get the ACE repaired can't bring myself to rip something out that actually does work very well .....when it does work that is :D

When mine went I took the pump off and fitted the shorter belt, drove it for months with no problems. Left everything else fitted with the intention of fixing it but sold the car before I got a chance.

Thank you, I'm glad to know that was worried about getting it to the garage, turn a corner and end up in a ditch haha.

I must admit I'm a grandad driver, I will get it sorted soon need to find out what's starting to leak. Given by the puddle it's the rear so will get underneath and have a look properly tomorrow
