Hi I m a newbie with an old problem : a 2000 Discovery 2 with ACE. Scanner tells me the latest page of data was corrupt at the last power up and pressure signal stuck at a value. Logged fault. I can t erase the first one , has anyone found a way out of this ? I ll be most grateful

Hi first of all replace the ACE ECU cos they are common failure, it's plug and play, if it was ruled out and the fault persists we'll speak again.

I ve being reading your posts on subject. Just order used one , should get here next week. I ll come back and report . Thank you!

BTW, i forgot to ask, can you see serious fluid turbulence in the reservoir with engine running?, if yes the pump is rule out, if no activity there low pressure can trigger those faults too, the ACE ECU is not a very smart one

I saw turbulence , hawkeye scanner indicates system pressure 129.23 bars is this within normal range? No visible leaks in system

Readings while the warning lamp is on are irrelevant cos the relay is open, After the ECU was changed with known good one and the error is still there remove the ACE relay (R14 engine bay fusebox) bridge the contact cavities(the thick ones) with a wire and read live data with hawkeye, the correct readings are as follows but at this point the ECU is the first suspect:

ACE INPUTS
1. DCVs (both) - .001A
2. Pressure control valve: 0 - .012A
3. Pressure sensor: varies between 16 and 19 but if it's out of that range the transducer is gone
4. Residual pressure: between 3 - 6 Bar but can be higher after the vehicle was driven or the ambient temp is low
5. System pressure: around 6 Bar fluctuating
6. Accelerometers: 0.01

for troubleshooting purpose: the resistance of both DCVs(top of the valve block, DCV1-toward front; DCV2-toward rear)= 2.7 Ohm, pressure control solenoid(on the left side of block) = 5.7 Ohm.

Hi , I took these reading after changing ACE ECU and bridging solenoid 14 , DVC 0.01 Amps both, pressure control valve 0.00 amps , pressure sensor 143.60 bars, residual pressure 20 b , system pressure 130.75 b , accelerometers upper 0.00g and lower 0.02 g . I wonder what you make of this . Thanks again
