Hi Everyone,
I am a new owner of a 51 plate disco 2 and I love it- what a work horse. I bought the car off my mate it had the ace light on Amber I ask him before purchase if it was an mot failure point he said it is not and despite no garage being able to find problem and turned light off on a reset it has been through 2 mots and passed with it on.

The car drives and handles fine but today I took it for a retest and it failed. Apart from a few minor points worn pads etc. The big issue was the ace light he failed it and quoted this on the mot sheet:
Supplementary Restraint System warning lamp indicates a fault ( 5.4.2 ).

He admitted he wasn't sure about the fault and that on checking vosa database that is what to fail it on.
Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the SRS to do with seat belts or airbags.
My SRS light on the dash performs perfectly so therefore there is no fault.

Simple question is he wrong to have worded that as fault for ace light and is light on a failure.
I did intend at a later point to put ace anti roll bar replacement kit on but this failure is pushing bill very high can anyone advise please
Simon
