Hello to anyone who can help,

My AC only cools when I'm driving along. When in very slow to standstill traffic or sat at junction or lights it stops cooling.
When I'm at a standstill I try to push on the acceleration but it makes no difference.
Does anyone have any idea what could be wrong?
Already I have had, evaporator, condenser, air filter, various valves replaced in the last week or so.
Seriously scratching head, please if anyone can help that would be appreciated.

Sounds like your A/C fans are not working. It will get cooler as you drive as you get air through your condenser and that wind rush stops when you are stationary.

As above either speed fan on AC not working or you need to get it gassed if not been checked in the last two years, anyone with an Hawkeye can force the fans on for you to test them.

They're just showing off that they need AC. :p No such problems here. :(

True. Although the AC is activated automatically whenever the heater diverter control is set to a windscreen position. ;)

I thought it would be helpful to know the year and possibly the engine too. I suspect it's a V6, which means the fans are controlled by the engine ECU, via the fan controller. The symptoms are almost certainly a fan issue, as mentioned above.

It's very on off scenario. It seemed to only happen the once when I posted this but then was fine then for the next month and a half. But it just started happening again. One thing I noticed is when become stationary at traffic lights with car in drive and brakes on, I can here a fairly loud rumbling noise but when I put the car in park it stops and then back in drive it's still stopped, it's just that first initial stop at light or junction. It's seems like something to do with drive is putting more pressure on something. But once I ignored the rumbling noise and then it stopped but then the ac blew warm. I can't seem to pin down what suddenly starts it to work again because once I just turned the fan off and then on again and it started but the next time it didn't do anything so I tried to turn fan up high and then it started again. So the next time both steps and nothing but after a couple of mins it just started again on its own so all a little random.
