Hi guys,

I have a weird issue. I think it all started when I got home and forgot my park lights ON for about 40mins, while I was out jogging.

The next morning I went to start her up, turned the key to position II, then i heard a whining sound. So I open the bonnet and realised the AC fans were running. She starts up and runs fine as before, I am just a bit concerned as to why this is happening.

I have read previous posts stating the AC fans come on to help with cooling when the engine gets too hot, but this happen with a cold engine, and also during a tropical depression with outside temps at 23c. The issue is does not happen everyday, I would say when it feels like it.

I am thinking that maybe the coolant temp sensor needs replacing, but its just my novice guess. I have also checked the fuse box for a burning smells but not thing unusual.

Any insight into this would be most helpful, and hopefully its a reasonably easy fix. Cause our dealer charges $200/hr, yess, $200.

Thanks inadvance guys.
