absolutely useless!

ive ordered a 2inch lift kit from paddocks DEFKIT1B Plus 2 Inch Lift Kit for Defender 90 (up to 1998) - Britpart Super Gaz

and it arrived today. Great, ready to fit on thursday at my mates garage.

there is a box with 4 yellow spring in it (good ) and 4 boxes with the shocks in. two black hydraulic ones and two yellow gas ones.

brilliant i thought.

except theyve sent me 4 rear shocks!

at least i think they have.. as i understood it, the rear shocks have a sideways facing hole at the top with a rubber bush that fits to the chassis, and the front shocks simply have a threaded stud that bolts to the turret.

cos i have 4 with the sideways hole!!!!

well i rung them today, told them the problem and the fact i need the replacement parts tomorrow as its booked in a garage on thurs, and they said the parts will be with me tomorrow. fingers crossed!

Went in on saturday to buy 2window screens n 4 brake drums for a series2, after ringing them on fri to check therin, then they only had 2 brake drums on saturday! ( Which I took-paying for 4 brake drums natcherly )P promised he would post the other 2 free, wot arrived on tues this week ? 4 Brake drums- LOL ( I will be returning the other 2 on my next visit to Matlock- honest.....)

it just gets worse... the delivery man just delivered the promised package, and my mum signed for it.

I opened the box, and it contained ONE front shock, and TWO sets of bushes!!!!

I need TWO shocks, FFS!!!

So I rang paddocks again and they say they have arranged for the next one to be delivered and it will arrive tomorrow...of course the car is booked in to have the work done tomorrow so I had to give them the address of the garage and hope the shock arrives early enough to give them time to get on with it!

****in useless! Ive never had any probs with paddocks before, but this is really starting to get on my tits!!!

there is tape all over the bottom of the box which says "Resealed at central hub FEDEX" so i think the box may have fallen open there and some **** resealed the box without checking all the contents are back in it

Well i wudn't trust the couriers they use there blumin useless, I ordered some bits took a fortnight to get to me, after promises of receiving it the next day every day for the second week, I got them to deliver it to my work instead of home address and it turned up when they said it would. The parcel looked like
it had been round the block bout 100 times, too be fair they did refund me the P&P and I didn't even suggest that. It'd cost me bout £7 in fuel to go and get the bits myself so think i'll probably just do that in future. Hope your parts turn up in time for you.

I'm just glad it was bin day yesterday! Got home and found the delivery ticket for my workshop manual from paddocks pushed through my door, it read "parcel in the bin round the back". Suppose it was better than it being returned to central depot and all that crap.

well it worked out alrite in the end..delivery man turned up at the garage today with the package, got it all fitted, and looks good too!

got there in the end!
