2001 Disco, its had a coil conversion done by a previous owner, just wondered if, as the SLS shares some fuses etc with the ABS, the warning light has been disabled for the ABS when the work was done?. The compressor is still in situ.

Any help appreciated.

The ABS light can't be disabled with tester... the SLS shares just the same casing and the main feed with the ABS but it must not affect it whatsoever...so if your ABS warning doesnt work on self test(3 seconds after ignition) i have a feeling that the HDC and TC will not work either which means that the previous owner ''blanked" them to hide a fault instead of fixing it.

Pretty sure HDC and TC lights do work?. Will make sure in the morning.
So what would be my best course of action?, take the instrument cover off and check the bulbs?.
Thanks very much for the info, much appreciated.

Looks like they have been covered over. Well thats another job for the end of the week.

Thanks again for your help Sierra.

Ok, an update. Im blond. The HDC light is ok, its only the TC and ABS that are out!.
Any ideas?.

Both HDC working, green one also activates the warning chime when switch is activated, in high ratio.

"unleash" the other lamps and read the fault codes...by the way do you have diff lock? , if yes lock it and see if the red diff'lock warning comes on or not... it doesnt have self check and one reason for the ABS and TC lights to be on without the HDC is a locked diff signal...which can occure even if you dont have the lever fitted as the wiring is there if you see what i mean... though i saw isolated cases of ABS and TC for sensor fault(quite uncommon but it happens)

Doesnt have difflock, although I know what you mean about wiring. How do you unleash?. ABS light has never worked, not sure bout TC. Will take the binnacle off first and make sure lights arent covered first.
Thanks again for your help.
