So after checking each sensor all ok, started her up and noticed a pump/motor sound every time I press the brake pedal? Is this the accumulator saintv8 mentioned earlier?

The good news is it isn't that expensive and is probably the quickest and easiest fix you'll ever do. I used an oil-filter strap wrench type thing to get mine off.

The pump is another matter.

So I take it its just the black ball shaped that just unscrews is all I need??

Yeah it sort of looks like a grenade in the rear right of the bay. Should be all you need provided the pump's still fine; when I did mine the lights cleared forever (literally, sold the car before I saw them again) but before hand they were around for about a minute after turning the car on.

Pumps coming on after 6 or 7 pushes, but lights go off then after driving for 2 mins they come back on.
Im thinking bleeding the system may be the issue? If I press the btake pedal about 10 -12 times with the engine off the pedal loses pressure then after a couple more presses comes back to normal???

No harm in bleeding the system as long as you follow the proceedure, unlikely to fix the problem though.
Much more likely to still be a sensor, maybe not fully seated onto the reluctor ring.

so latest instalment of this saga.
started to bleed the brake system this evening got all the way to doing final op on rave (push pedal 5 times etc) when I heard a hissing noise coming from back drivers side wheel, thought it was me not tightening the bleed screw back up nut when I investigated further I found the brake pipe that runs across the car above the rear axle and chassis was totally shot brake fluid ****ing out all over the place! the pipe is really badly corroded.
definitely needs replacing anyone know the part numbers there are 2 pipes that run alongside each other rave calls them:

9. feed to rear left hand intermediate hose
10.feed to rear right hand intermediate hose

is it a big job? looks it looking from the wheel side too dark to go underneath tonight.

cheers guys

tony

Buy the tool and pipe/connecters from a motor factors and make your own. Will be cheaper in the long run.:)

Jeeez. Thanks goodness you found it bleeding the system and not going down a hill.

I think you can get joining kits and just cut out the bad section. Might be cheaper and easier? Probably not as good though.

pipes all bent and ready to go on but cant get the flaring right, more practice needed I think?
anyone know the best tool to use? im currently trying with the sealey type pic attached, its areal pain in the arse to get right??
