abs pump

Hi ive just had my abs pump replaced as my other was shot, now when i switch on it makes a pumping noise for a few seconds then stops, great, but when i put my foot on the brake it makes a pumping noise just for a few seconds , should this happen ?

Just the pump or did you replace the accumulator too??

Could be a weak accumulator and/or iffy pressure switch!

As above, it should run about every 5 brake presses. If it runs every time, the accumulator is the primary suspect.
