Hi all

I've not long had this Discovery 2, bought it cheap with ABS issues

I've changed the shuttle valve on the ABS modulator today - took the modulator off as I couldn't get enough waft on the allen bolts to undo them with it in situ. Tight little devils they were even with it on the bench.

I did the wiring mod while I was replacing, checked with my Nanocom and the previous fault relating to the shuttle valve had gone....the problem is, I appear to only have one brake circuit, right front to rear left. When bleeding I can't get any fluid out of the right front or left rear nipples. Is there something I haven't done? I've followed the Nanocom bleeding process, and tried manual only to no joy.

All the calipers are new, and all the brakes worked yesterday, before I started.

Any ideas?

Hi Nigel,
Did you do the modulator bleed first, then bled the brakes as normal in the correct sequence? (f/n/s f/o/s r/n/s r/o/s)

Indeed I did. No fluid from left front/rear right.

But.....looking further, there doesn't seem to be any fluid coming from the master cylinder to that particular circuit. I took both feeds of the modulator this morning, and with my wife pumping the pedal, fluid gushed out of one and none out of the other. If there ain't any fluid coming out of the master cylinder, it can't go to the nipples. When I did the initial bleed, the pedal sort of went over centre, so I'm wondering if one circuit is now blocked off in the MC.

I've ordered a new cylinder, it will be here on Tuesday, I'll see what happens then.

Interesting isn't it....
