Matt

i will have the answer tomorrow. after 6 months of having mine on and various different thing tried including new sensor, mine is going in to the garage to be looked at.

I had the same problem with my Disco. it was eventually cured when I found out that the inside face of my rear discs were coroded. evidently most of the braking is on the front and if you are not a "heavy Braker " then most of the time the rear brakes are not doing much.
Fitting new discs cured the problem ( by the way the outside surfaces were in good nick which was why I didn`t see the problem to begin with .
I hope your cure is as easy as this.

well i have had the rear sensor changed and that didnt cure the fault so tomorrow he is swapping the ecu with another one he has and see if that works. if not its a case of checking wires to see if there is a wiring fault which apparently is very uncommon. he did advise me that as a specialist range rover mechanic he thinks i should expect to pay between £1000 & £2000 per year just to keep it on the road. the worst thing is i have borrowed a car off a friend who is a car dealer and guess what he gave me.........................................R reg skoda 1.9 diesel estate !! its actually not a bad car (did i say that?)

He cant be much of a specialist if he is just swopping bits over - check and test !

Not sure how similar the system is to a Classic, but I think they are pretty close.

It MAY be possible to get a blink code out of the ABS ECU that will give you an idea of what the problem is. I have done this on my Classic, you can also clear the fault codes using a simple jumper made from a piece of bent wire.

It could be nothing, just a glitch but if you can get a blink code you can then start more in depth investigations.

Hope that helps.

Classic Kev.

Sorry,no blink codes with LP RR's,you need Testbook,Autologic etc.
