Morning all,
Hope your all enjoying the fine weekend weather.
I have been having issues with my late 99 4.6hse(Bosch) abs and tc lights. They are now on permanently.
So yesterday I took it to get the fault codes read. It
says there are various issues with the front left sensor. This is a fairly new
sensor as it was change by the last owner. The guy who read the codes even
took the time to do a little fault finding for me whilst it was in. He said
that all the realtime information from the sensor was correct, he even
measured the resistance of the unit and its correct too. He cleared the
faults and they came back immediately as follows.
Front left sensor short to another sensor.
Front left sensor output too low.
Front left sensor Electrical failure.
Front left sensor output intermittent.
I have had a look at the plugs on the ECU and theres no signs of an
water damage or corrosion. Which brings me to the main question.
Where do I go from here? Any tips gratefully received. Is it worth going
straight in for a new or reconned ECU( if i can find the correct part no.) or
is there possibly something else that I am missing?
Thanks in advance and hope you all have a great weekend.
