Hello all
Yes i have bit the bullet again lol........

Right down to my problem......

I have a RR p38 N reg 4ltr se. After being parked up for a long time, I drove the car and found that the ABS yellow lights on and the red brake light are on in the dash. When pushing on the brake pedal the pedal is hard but i don't have brakes i have to really push hard and then they just about stop the car. Its like the servo (on a normal car) is not working. After parking the car up had a look around the car and found that the front disks are ok but the back ones where all rusty (not working). With more investigating it seems that the pump on the brakes was not kicking in I think that this might be my problem?

Also will this also make my eas light up with all 4 lights on or is this another problem?

Many thanks for looking and hi to all.....

If the accumulator is not being pressurised because the pump is not running there can be no braking to the rear wheels. You are getting hydrostatic braking on the front wheels only. Suggest you find out why the pressure pump is not running.
EAS lamps are a different problem.

Hi wammers hows things mate.
Thanks for the help i am going to find out why the pumps not working today. All the fuses seem ok i will also see if all is ok with the relays

Thanks mate

Morning Datatek

Hi all
Looks like its more than the fuse box
And yes i now have the 35mph max coming up on the dash.

Back to the ABS cant seem to get the pump to run so look like i need to get my hands a diagnostic tool:eek:

Can i get something to run on a mac laptop lol

All the best
Shaun.

If the fuse box has burnt it could cause both your problems. Check the relays and swap for another of the same colour. Check the pins are not blued with heat.
No Diags for crApple products as far as I'm aware, you need a Nanocom:)

Hi,

If the ABS Pump doesn't run, the big green pressure switch on the end of the pump has likely gone bad. This happens due to a weak accumulator, which makes the pump run too frequently, burning out the abs switch. -I have new ABS Switches (yes, new) for $200 + shipping.

The eas is probably not related and is something simple, like a bad sensor, a stuck valve in the valve block, or pump failure. -If pump fails, you can take the ground wire from the harness side of the eas pump multiplug and ground it somewhere like the shock tower, which will bypass the pump's thermal switch and let it run until it really does go out.

I'd remove your details from your post...else you'll start getting nuisance emails and calls!

We have :rulez: about selling goods on here if you are a newbie or not a forum sponsor...

(and if Shaun69 could edit his post to remove them from the quote too :D:D)
