HI, Has anybody ever just had enough of the hassle with the ABS system on a freelander 1 & just converted it back to old style braking by removing all the ABS components & fitting a normal master cylinder..
I saw a mk1 at the local scrappy & went to get the ABS ECU but there was nothing under the seat.. no hill desent button on gaer lever & no sensors on the wheels.. i didnt realize that the early freelanders came without ABS, & as ive had just about enough of the 3 Amigoes on my ride i was wondering how difficult can it be to change mine..
Went to get the fault codes read yesterday..ECU GROUND,or Reference GROUND FAULT came back & the Landrover Garage wants my car for the day to dig deeper to find fault..
Anyone any ideas.
Regards Neil
