About missing the vin plate of my land rover series 2

Hello friend I am Suhas Tingre from India, recently I bought a Land Rover Series 2,110,the vehicle was donated by UNICEF to government of India, the vehicle was lying in the farm for last 5 years ,I bought this from an auction agent ,now the Problem is that the vin plate in this vehicle number is missing ,I didn't receive the documents also from the agent, now I want to know the VIN number of my vehicle, I have the engine number,gearbox number and the 9 digit chassis number (I don't know weather it's a correct number or not),chassis rusted badly,
Friends now pls help me to get the vin number of my vehicle

Welcome...first thing is its not a series 2 if it's a 110...i assume it's a long wheelbase...you can post chassis number here and we'll decode it or go on to google and do it yourself...but with no papers in my country big problem because you can't change ownership...

Engine number is =24133230A
Transmission number is =25456120

As far as I'm aware chassis starting 262 indicates it's a 109 LWB...

As its series 2 109 it only has a chassis number not a vin number they appeared in the 70s...i think the G at the end stands for 2.25 engine...
Your chassis number would be stamped on a plate rivitted to bulkhead somewhere these plates are available blank how you get papers in your country I've no idea...

Okay ,where can I get the new blank plates ,what is the actual year of manufacturing. I bought this vehicle from a auctioneer's...don't have the papers but want to know the actual year,is there any way I will get the details ?

The first 3 numbers indicate model and type the next 5 is the serial number... there is no indication on these chassis plates of year build... Paddocks or Craddocks on the internet will supply them... Hope that helps...
